Take that Mr. Ford!!

For the first time ever a Detroit Lions football game at Ford Field will be blacked out. The Lions sold out 50 consecutive home games since moving to Ford Field in 2002, which seems like a miracle in itself considering how bad the Lions have been in those 6 years.
The Lions had about 5,000 tickets still remaining at the blackout deadline of 1 p.m. today. As a result the Detroit Lions' game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday will be blacked out on television locally. Ironically many fans are glad it will be blacked out as they view it as a statement to team owner William Clay Ford that the fans will no longer pay to seem a horrible team.

If the Lions now start a streak of non-sellouts will that force Ford to take action to make this team better? Only time will tell.
