Mel Kiper Wrong Again

Every year we are led to believe Mel Kiper is the one and only draft expert and is divine in his draft predictions.

Well, for scoring purposes this year, Deadspin.com gave - 1 point when Kiper correctly predicted the pick exactly; .5 points was given to him if he had Tampa taking QB Josh Freeman, even though he went at 17 instead of 19, as many predicted.

So what was the God of NFL Drafting's score?

8.5 points out of a possible 32.

LAME! This is all he does all year long and he didn't even come close to getting 50% correct.

Mel Kiper Looks Like a Vampire

Mel Kiper has been predicting that the Detroit Lions will be indeed selecting Georgia Bulldog QB Matt Stafford with the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft, much to the dismay of many fans in Detroit. As noted in a recent ESPN poll, while much of the nation believes the Lions should take Matt Stafford, the state of Michigan desperately wants an O-Lineman.

I, myself think the Lions should draft Andre Davis out of Alabama, and am hoping the Lions are smarter then to select a QB with the first pick before they even have a serviceable offensive line to protect him. I am also hoping that the Lions use a lot of their picks in the draft to bolster their defense, which was the NFL's worst this past season.

If the Lions want to select a QB in the 3rd round or later, fine, but personally I think they need to use rounds 1 & 2 to improve the lines and middle linebacker.
