Rasheed Recieves 16th Tech of Season

Well it was nice having Rasheed Wallace back while it lasted.... I guess.

Rasheed finally returned from an 11-game absence due to a left calf strain, but now won't be able to play tonight against New Jersey. No, no, he didn't re-injure himself again, but he did pick up his 16th technical foul of the season, which is an automatic one game suspension.

Wallace picked up the foul in the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rasheed opened his yap after teammate Tayshaun Prince was whistled for a blocking foul against LeBron James.

Rasheed's comments regarding the call: "Tayshaun was already there, and he (James) charged him," Wallace said. "Y'all know it's stupid-star calls, too."

Wallace also was upset James was not whistled for any fouls in last night's game.

Wallace commented: "Y'all know what it is. I ain't even got to say that (bleep)."

While Rasheed is right about Lebron obviously getting "superstar calls" last night and just about any other game he plays in, why can't he just keep that yap shut???

Pistons - Nuggets Trade in the Works?

CNNSI.com reports the below would make the most sense financially as a Pistons - Nuggets trade...

The Nuggets would send Carmelo Anthony, Marcus Camby, Kenyon Martin and Chucky Atkins to the Pistons for Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince, Rasheed Wallace and Detroit's 1st round pick.

I don't know how I feel about this. Melo would be an improvement over Tayshaun. Camby & Martin would be the shot blocking and rebounding that the Pistons have been lacking since Ben left....but letting Chauncey go would hurt us, in that I'm not sure Stuckey is not ready to take over the reigns yet and that would leave us with Chucky Atkins or Lindsay Hunter.

In the end though, I would make this trade hoping that Joe could bring in a free agent starting point guard in the offseason. The Pistons need a dramatic shake up.

Time for a Change

"I will not settle for complacency" .... a direct quote from Detroit Pistons' GM Joe Dumars at the end of last year's Eastern Conference Finals after being defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers in a lackluster series by the Pistons.

Well here we are again. The Pistons choked in the Eastern Conference Finals again this year. After being up ten points in the fourth quarter of game 6, they proceeded to blow it in a Celtics 17 point swing and eliminate the Pistons in the series.

Well Joe, it looks like it's time to make some changes. Tayshaun Prince disappeared in the playoffs this year and Rasheed Wallace seemed disinterested at times all year long, not to mention playing aweful in Game 6. Rasheed Wallace would be a tough player to move in the size of his contract and age. However Tayshaun would be a a very moveable player on a team that is in need of change.

Eastern Conference Finals: Game 5

My thoughts on the Eastern Conference Finals: Game 5.....

1. Rasheed needs to get his @$$ in the post. It's great he nailed 6 three-pointers, but he had 4 rebounds and no points in the paint.

2. Will somebody get on Kendrick "Mini Beard" Perkins? The guy is single handedly dominating the Pistons in the paint on rebounds.

3. Can we start televising these games earlier? Why do these games need to start 8:30? Both teams are in the same time zone and the games aren't ending until close to midnight.

4. Somebody tell James Posey his multi-colored mouth guard doesn't make him look tougher....what a douche bag accessory!
