Time for a Change

"I will not settle for complacency" .... a direct quote from Detroit Pistons' GM Joe Dumars at the end of last year's Eastern Conference Finals after being defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers in a lackluster series by the Pistons.

Well here we are again. The Pistons choked in the Eastern Conference Finals again this year. After being up ten points in the fourth quarter of game 6, they proceeded to blow it in a Celtics 17 point swing and eliminate the Pistons in the series.

Well Joe, it looks like it's time to make some changes. Tayshaun Prince disappeared in the playoffs this year and Rasheed Wallace seemed disinterested at times all year long, not to mention playing aweful in Game 6. Rasheed Wallace would be a tough player to move in the size of his contract and age. However Tayshaun would be a a very moveable player on a team that is in need of change.

Eastern Conference Finals: Game 3

Here are my thoughts on game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals:

1. Chauncey Billups, where the Hell are you? You only shot six times (1-6), and you might as well have just sat on the bench the whole game. Rodney Stuckey was 10x more valuable then you were tonight.

2. Rasheed Wallace needs to get his @$$ in the post. We don't need you hoisting up three pointers all night, we need you dominating the paint.

3. This was embarrassing to watch as a Detroit Pistons fan. I am glad the Palace booed the Pistons in the third quarter.

Eastern Conference Finals: Game 2

Here are my thoughts on Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals:

1. It was a game of catch me if you can! The Pistons came back from a first half deficit to take the lead and fend off Boston down the stretch. Despite great Celtic shooting in the 4th quarter, the Pistons' shooting was even better.

2. Rodney Stuckey proved himself on national television during a huge game. The rookie stepped up and put a dagger in the heart of the Celtics.

3. PJ Brown is a douche bag. Why? He wears the number 93... enough said.

4. Ray Allen is back. The guy hacked the Pistons all game long, but was able to put down 25 points.

Game 1 - Eastern Conference Finals

My thoughts on Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals:

1. Billups doesn't look fully healed

2. The Pistons need to start driving to the basket and posting up, settling for far too many perimeter jump shots

3. Paul Pierce travels like a Greyhound bus

4. Kendrick Perkins has a mini-Rip beard

5. Garnett is dominate

Bean Town vs. The D tonight

Boston and Detroit are meeting for the final time in the regular season tonight. The series is split at one win a piece, with the visitor having won both games.

Detroit is three games behind Boston in the East and may be the Celtics' biggest obstacle to a championship, excluding the overrated Cavaliers. The Pistons and Celtics rank 1-2 in the league in scoring defense, allowing 90.2 and 90.6 points per game, respectively.

Side Note: Boston recently acquired an Alien to provide extra depth at the point during their championship push. His Earth name is Sam Cassell, his interstellar name can not be pronounced by the human tongue.
