The Detroit Economic Growth Corp. has finalized a contract to knock down Tigers Stadium, former home of the Detroit Tigers. The group intends to sell the old stadium for scrap. The historic stadium has been deserted since the Tigers moved to Comerica Park in 1999.
No date has been set for the demolition process to begin.
