New rumors are surfacing that U of M frosh running back Sam McGuffie will transfer after this year. Wolverines beat writer John Heuser says that there is nothing new with the story, and that McGuffie shouldn't be discouraged by his diminishing role this year. "The coaches have confidence in him," Heuser points out during his weekly Q&A, "and he's been used much more this year than a typical freshman. I hope he stays, because I think he'll be a contributor throughout his career."
As of right now it's too early to say if Sam will be staying or transferring to a different school.
However Heuser also points out: "The fact that he pulled himself from the lineup last week is a bad sign. But I'm sure the coaches will really try to convince him that he'll benefit by staying, which I think it true."
Oh boy.... keep your fingers crossed that he stays Wolverines fans!
