Duke Downs Wolverines in Coaches vs. Cancer Tourney Final

Shooting struggles again haunted the University of Michigan basketball team and resulted in a 71-56 loss to the #10 Duke Blue Devils in the 2K Sports Classic tournament final. Timely clutch shots that led them to victory over UCLA in the previous round weren't falling for them this time and the Wolverines were fighting uphill against a quicker / stronger Duke team all game long.

However, the fact that they got to the tourney's final game, upset the Bruins a day previous and hung with a solid Blue Devil squad should serve as proof they have come into the 2008-2009 season a stronger team then last year.

To take another step forward though the Wolverines MUST start shooting better from the outside in this Princeton style offense that Coach Beilein has installed. Also, I'd like to see Deshawn Sims starting games instead of coming off the bench. He looks to me to be the best low post presence that the Wolverines have.
