Wolverines Upset #4 Bruins

The University of Michigan's basketball program hasn't had much to cheer about for the last several years. However, following Michigan's victory over the #4 UCLA Bruins last night, fans and the University have plenty to cheer about.

Led by a 1-3-1 trapping defense that gave the Bruins fits all night, the Wolverines pulled the biggest upset of the young season winning 55-52 in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.

Michigan's next opponent will be the #8 Duke Blue Devils in tonight's final at 7:30 p.m. Coincidentally, this will be the first of two meetings between UofM and Duke this year. The two schools will also square off on December 6 in Ann Arbor.

Michigan will have to come with the same great defense against Coach K and the Dukies tonight, but will also have to elevate their shooting game and rebound a little better. Michigan shot very poorly in the first half from beyond the arc and looked to get pushed around in the blocks at times, but still managed to stick around until the second half when they could put away the Bruins.
