One of the Detroit Lions' most recent 2008 acquisitions was introduced in Allen Park on Monday, Leigh Bodden. As a defensive back, Leigh had 88 tackles and 6 interceptions last year for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns most likely agreed to include him in a trade to the Lions for Shaun Rogers because Leigh wants to renegotiate his contract for more $$$.
"I want to step in and be 'the guy,' " Bodden said. Well Leigh, I don't think that will be very tough considering the other DBs the Lions currently have on this roster. Lets look at the stellar competition Leigh will be facing in order to be considered "The Guy" among defensive backs on this team:
- Travis Fisher (unrestricted free agent)
- Devonte Edwards (he was on the team last year?)
- Ramzee Robinson (Mr. Irrelevant)
- 2008 Draft Pick (can Millen draft anyone worth while?)
